The most frightening haunt team
Roger Hayes, Curious Curator
From boyhood, Roger had a simple dream: he wanted to make his house the scariest house in the neighborhood. You know, the one that makes kids cry and grown people pee their pants. The house all the kids in the neighborhood talk about and anticipate seeing every Halloween.
Drawing upon his many talents, which include a degree in physics, a heavy art background, and a fascination with creepy things, Roger set about turning his dream into reality. His work genuinely scares people, but without gore. When you see what he does, his passion and skill are evident, and the results are impressive - and frightening.
Lyn Hayes, Good Witch of the South
Lyn prides herself as being the last friendly face you see prior to entering the Hayes Haunt. Her finishing touches add realism and class to rooms you pass through. As an artist herself she has an eye for detail and loves to make-up the actors for a night of terror.
Kevin, Master of Disguises
Kevin is Roger's right-hand man and an outstanding Haunt actor. He has a very keen sense of what will frighten people, waiting until just the right moment to unleash his talent.
He is seemingly everywhere, scaring people and helping other haunters when needed.
Amanda is one of the hardest working volunteers, always helping with makeup, costumes, etc. She is also generally your Ticket Cashier, and sometimes she even acts as the Tasty Taxi, collecting food for the Haunters from our great Sponsors.
Tommy the Creeper
Tommy has been a staple of the Hayes Haunt for years, in a variety of scary flavors. He can be found at Roger's Home nearly every day during Haunt construction and take down, which makes him one of those beloved volunteers.
No haunt is complete without it's actors! All our actors volunteer their time and talent for the haunt. Well, if scaring people can be considered talent. Because of its magnitude, actors also help with setup and take down of the haunt.
Preparations begin in summer, and setup begins in September in order to be ready for opening weekend - the second weekend in October.
Auditions are required in order to be an actor in the haunt. They take place at the beginning of August. If you have a desire to act in the haunt, send us an email before auditions begin. We recommend contacting us in June-July. Once auditions have happened we don't accept actors for the upcoming haunt.
To contact us about acting, you can just send us a message using the Contact page. Please put "Interested in being an actor for Hayes Haunt" in the subject area.
